The Grado Reference4 is a high-performance moving iron cartridge from the Timbre Series, engineered to deliver a refined and musically balanced analog reproduction. Utilizing Grado’s flux-bridger generator architecture, it reduces moving mass and improves magnetic efficiency, resulting in faster transient response, improved resolution, and greater signal purity. The Australian Jarrah wood body provides excellent damping characteristics, minimizing unwanted resonances and contributing to a natural tonal balance with a smooth, organic presentation.

The Reference4 incorporates Grado’s optimized cantilever and stylus assembly, designed to enhance tracking accuracy and extract fine detail from the groove with precision. Its sonic signature is characterized by a fluid midrange, controlled low frequencies, and a clean, extended high-frequency response, maintaining coherence across the entire spectrum.
