The Grado Sonata4 is a refined moving iron cartridge from the Timbre Series, designed to deliver a musically engaging and harmonically rich analog presentation with reduced moving mass and improved generator efficiency. Based on Grado’s flux-bridger architecture, the Sonata4 benefits from a reconfigured coil system that enhances speed, resolution, and overall signal purity. Its Australian Jarrah wood body provides excellent damping characteristics, minimizing unwanted resonances and contributing to a smooth, natural tonal balance with a cohesive and organic sound signature.

The Sonata4 features a carefully optimized cantilever and nude elliptical diamond stylus assembly, allowing for precise groove tracing and consistent tracking performance. Its sonic character is defined by a full and expressive midrange, controlled and articulate bass, and a smooth, extended high-frequency response.
